Took some time to go through all the comments, but I really did get something out of reading the post. It proved to become incredibly valuable to me and, I am sure. to everyone posting comments! It's not often that you can be informed, and also entertained at the same time. I am certain you also got something out of writing this article.

Hey Bev - thanks for featuring me. I'm DEFINITELY not graphically inclined, so this baby took me a while. I bet some of the smarter folks out there will whiz through this!

This is a very good suggestion since revenue is a universally understand business concept. I can clearly understand how this would apply in a sales type position (e.g. "I made $xxx, xxx in 2010."). But what about a role like corporate legal, human resources, planning or strategy? So much of those roles involves helping others in the company to do their work well and the impact on revenue is difficult to figure out. Any ideas on how one could summarize work in that kind of role?

Aw, this was a really professional post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
